Competitor price monitoring

Know the morning after a competitor changes its prices

A price cut is the clearest sign a competitor is fighting for your buyers. Pesky reads your competitors' pricing pages every morning and tells you which prices came and went, in the same short email as everything else they did.

What the email says

At the topRival cut a price 41%: Pro · $49/mo → Pro · $29/mo.

Why it mattersA cheaper Pro and a new free plan aim at the buyers who compare you on price. Worth checking how your entry plan reads next to theirs.

How it works

  1. Your competitors, found for you. Type your website and Pesky names your 10 closest. Keep them, add your own.
  2. Their pricing pages, read every morning. Each price is kept with the plan name above it, so a change reads as “Pro · $49/mo → $29/mo”, not “the page changed”.
  3. Only real changes. A counter ticking over, a “Save 30%” badge, a price that comes back within the week, an A/B test or a page that didn't load fully is not news.
  4. A cut of 20% or more on the same plan goes at the top of the email, before anything else.

Prices are one part of it

The same email covers their homepage copy, launches, what their founders post on LinkedIn and X, what people say about them on Reddit and Hacker News, and their domain rating. Questions

How does Pesky find a competitor's pricing page?

It reads the page at /pricing, or /plans when there's no /pricing. A page that sends you somewhere else, like the homepage or a contact form, isn't treated as a pricing page.

Will it tell me when a competitor runs an A/B test on prices?

No, on purpose. Pesky reads each pricing page three times every morning, and a price that shows on some reads and not others is an experiment, not a change. It's never reported.

Which pricing pages can't it read yet?

Pages that only show prices once a browser runs their scripts, pricing that lives somewhere other than /pricing or /plans, and "contact sales" pages. About 6 in 10 software competitors' pricing pages are covered today.

How is this different from a page monitor like Visualping?

A page monitor watches the pages you add and tells you that something on them changed. Pesky finds your competitors for you, reads their pricing pages without setup, and says which prices came and went, alongside everything else they did that morning.

What does it cost?

€50 a month per company, with up to 25 competitors read every morning, pricing pages included. 7 days free, no card.
