Free competitor finder

Type any company's website. Pesky reads the site, looks at who it's compared with across the web, and names its ten closest competitors, ranked.

Free, no sign-up. Up to 10 competitors in about 30 seconds.

How it finds them

  1. Reads the site. What the company sells, and who it sells to, from its own homepage.
  2. Looks at who it's compared with. Google results for its “alternatives” and comparison pages, and what people post about the category on LinkedIn and X.
  3. An AI judge decides. It weighs that evidence against its own knowledge of the market and names the companies a buyer would compare it with. The sources are hints; the judge picks.

Ranked, not just listed

Direct
The same job for the same buyer. A prospect would put them side by side. Usually two to five companies.
Overlapping
Part of the same job, or the same job for a different buyer, size or market.
Adjacent
A step up or down the chain, or a much bigger company that covers it as a side feature.

Domain rating is shown next to the closest one, but it never decides the order: a small company doing exactly your job ranks above a giant doing something nearby. Review sites, directories, media, agencies and the website builders a site runs on are never listed as competitors.

Then keep an eye on them

Finding your competitors is the free part. Watching them is what Pesky is for: every morning it reads their homepages and domain rating, launches on Product Hunt and AppSumo, and what people say on Reddit, Hacker News and YouTube, then sends one short email on what moved and why it matters to you.

The free plan keeps your ten on a list. The morning email starts on IDEA, at $29 a month; LinkedIn and X are added on GROWTH.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up and no card. A visitor can run a few scans an hour. If you want to keep the list, signing in is free too, and it goes on your dashboard.

How many competitors does it find?

Up to ten. A very small or personal site can get fewer: when nobody close exists, it says so instead of padding the list.

Can I look up a company that isn't mine?

Yes. Type any public website: your own, a prospect's, a company you're thinking of joining or investing in.

How long does a scan take?

About 30 seconds, sometimes up to a minute when there's a lot to read. A site scanned recently comes back at once.

Where do the competitors come from?

From the site itself, from Google results that compare it with others ("alternatives" pages, comparisons), from LinkedIn and X posts, and from an AI judge's own knowledge of the market. The sources are evidence; the judge decides who really competes.

How is this different from an SEO competitor tool?

SEO tools list the sites that rank for the same keywords, which is mostly blogs, directories and giants. Pesky looks for companies doing the same job for the same buyer, the ones a prospect would compare you with.
